Morgan starred in an informational video Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS education and prevention. The proceeds from the film were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the leader of numerous fund-raising efforts to combat the disease and testified to an Congressional Special Committee on AIDS Education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the Board of Governors of APLA. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to be his substitute during AIDS occasions and has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline about AIDS. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan was a co-star in ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife in the spring with Joan Rivers. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams also appeared. Her next film took her to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in the production of Harmony Gold. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also on the set. Morgan has also been featured in a film, a psychological thriller that was produced by USA Network. The film received one of the most impressive ratings to date.
